Dot Com! Yes, we really did meet on a dating website, on St. Lucy's Day (December 13) 2015. Gwen sang Lessons and Carols that day, which we think is what ignited the spark between us. A month later, after hundreds of emails, hours of phone calls, and long days of near-constant Skyping, we met in person. Our first moment together in person was at the Legal Seafood bar in Terminal B at Logan airport. We had oysters and champagne to break the ice. Airports, oysters, and champagne are still part of the fabric of our love and life together. Our first weekend together was pure magic - everything we'd both hoped for. Now we just had to get to know one another enough to take the next steps, and bring the kids into our world. We vacationed together as a family in France that first summer and the last piece fell into place - we worked well as a family. John asked Gwen to marry him over brunch at the historic Grand Concourse in Pittsburgh in May of 2017. In a whirlwind year that has included a new job, a move from Pittsburgh to Texas, and family obligations from London to Boston, we have finally (finally!) managed to plan our wedding - and we won't have to Skype it! We'll be together, surrounded by those we love from all over the world in one place, and we can't quite believe it! We are looking forward to starting our married life together with you there to witness the forging of our marriage covenant. See you there!
